President Keller called the meeting to order at 12:35 PM.
As the first order of business, Bob Keller asked if there were any corrections or additions to the May 2015 minutes of the previous board meeting. There being none, the minutes were approved unanimously.
George Baltz distributed a Treasurer’s Report dated August 29, 2015. The report showed a beginning balance of $ 4,295.78 with income of $ 70 and expenses of $ 734.75. The closing balance was $ 3,631.03. That report was unanimously approved.
President Keller proposed that the last four L & N PS-1 boxcars be purchased from the Dixie Division inventory for $142. This proposal was unanimously approved. The boxcars will be used for raffles or door prizes.
Alan gave an update on the division website. He said that the use of PayPal is now available on the website. The Music City chapter does not want to use PayPal. Alan said he would be available to help members who will be using the website.
President Keller would like a Dixie Division newsletter published in October.
The Dixie Division was to send $500.00 for the year 2014, but did not meet the 2014 deadline.
Therefore, George Baltz will send a check for $1,000 to cover both the 2014 and 2015 donations. National will be instructed to add these funds to the endowment fund only.
At this time there are 580 members in the Division and 76 % have an e-mail listed. This information was given to Bill Frey, Ron Hirst, Bill Teppenpaw Jr., and Alan Evans and Bill Stitt.
